''Netrunner'' is an out-of-print collectible card game (CCG) designed by Richard Garfield, the creator of ''Magic: The Gathering''. It was published by Wizards of the Coast and introduced in April 1996. The game took place in the setting for the ''Cyberpunk 2020'' role-playing game (RPG), but it also drew from the broader cyberpunk genre. In 2012, Fantasy Flight Games released ''Android: Netrunner'', a new card game based on ''Netrunner'', under license from Wizards of the Coast. Richard Garfield
Richard Channing Garfield (born June 26, 1963) is an American mathematician, inventor and game designer. Garfield created '' Magic: The Gathering'', which is considered to be the first collectible card game (CCG). ''Magic'' debuted in 1993 and its success spawned many imitations. Megacorporation, mega-corporation, or megacorp, a term originally coined by Alfred Eichner in his book ''The Megacorp and Oligopoly: Micro Foundations of Macro Dynamics'' but popularized by William Gibson, derives from the combination of the prefix '' mega-'' with the word '' corporation''. It has become widespread in cyberpunk literature. It is synonymous with syndicate, globalist- or transnational capital. It refers to a corporation (normally fictional) that is a massive conglomerate (usually private), holding monopolistic or near-monopolistic control over multiple markets (thus exhibiting both a horizontal and a vertical monopoly). Scott Haring
Scott D. Haring is a game designer who has worked primarily on role-playing games. Career Scott Haring began working in the adventure gaming industry in 1982. Haring had a long career with Steve Jackson Games, having worked at the company five different times over a period of 15 years. Haring has worked as the ''Car Wars'' line editor, and became editor on the new magazine '' Autoduel Quarterly'' when it debuted in 1983. He also wrote and edited for ''Ghostbusters'' and ''GURPS'' and served as the editor for ''Pyramid'' magazine. He has been a columnist for ''Comics & Games Retailer'' since 1987. ''InQuest Gamer'' was a monthly magazine for game reviews and news that was published from 1995 to 2007. Originally, the magazine was named ''InQuest'' and focused solely on collectible card games (CCGs); ''InQuest'', along with its competitor ''Scrye'', were the two major CCG magazines. Zvi Mowshowitz is a former professional Magic: The Gathering player who also held a developer intern position at Wizards of the Coast Magic R&D. He is known for having created innovative and sometimes game-breaking decks TurboZvi and My Fires. His first-place finishes include a Pro Tour and a Grand Prix. He has placed in the top eight of four Pro Tours, and earned over $140,000 playing Magic competitively. In 2007, Mowshowitz was elected into the Magic Hall of Fame. LackeyCCG
LackeyCCG is a computer program used to play virtually any collectible card game (CCG) against online opponents or for building and testing of CCG decks offline in a solitaire mode. It also allows for the searching of cards within each CCG. LackeyCCG currently has Mac, Windows and Linux versions (It has also been reported to be stable on Linux via Wine.). The program was created by Trevor Agnitti and is currently in its beta testing stage. Plugins Using LackeyCCG a person may play games such as '' Call of Cthulhu'', ''Yu-Gi-Oh!'', ''Pokémon'' and '' Magic: The Gathering''.
