Johan Nestor (Nestori) Aronen (27 December 1876 – 7 October 1954) was a Finnish sawmill worker, trade union functionary and politician, born in Pori. Nestor Johannes "Nestori" Kaasalainen (14 February 1915 – 1 March 2016) was a Finnish politician who served twice as Finland's Minister of Agriculture, whose active career spanned the 1950s and 1960s. He was elected from his home town of Tyrvää (later Vammala, the six rural union (later Keskustan) parliamentary district, he represented the northern election of Turku county. After his career as a member of parliament, he moved from 1972 to 1980 as an administrative director and member of the board of directors at Alko. Nestori Toivonen
Nestori Kallenpoika Toivonen (25 March 1865 – 6 April 1927) was a Finnish sport shooter who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics and in the 1920 Summer Olympics. In 1912, he won two bronze medals as part of the Finnish team, which won the bronze medal in the 100 metre running deer, single shots event as well as in the 100 metre running deer, single shots individual event. He also participated in the 300 metre free rifle, three positions event, but he did not finish. In 1920, he again won two medals, a silver medal in the 100 m running deer, single shots team and a bronze medal in the 100 m running deer, double shots team. Nestori Mattias (Matias) Nurminen (9 May 1907 – 22 March 1977) was a Finnish carpenter and politician, born in Kokkola. He was a member of the Parliament of Finland from 1945 to 1962 and from 1966 to 1970, representing the Finnish People's Democratic League (SKDL). Nurminen was a member of the Communist Party of Finland (SKP). He became involved with the SKP in the 1920s, when it still was illegal in Finland. In 1930 he travelled to the Soviet Union, where he studied at the Communist University of the National Minorities of the West. In 1932 he returned to Finland and was imprisoned for political reasons from 1932 to 1937 and again from 1940 to 1944. The Moscow Armistice of 19 September 1944 led to the legalization of the SKP.
