Nerida Tyson-Chew
Nerida Tyson-Chew (born 1965) is an Australian music composer, conductor and orchestrator, principally working in screen music. She won her first Australian Guild of Screen Composers (AGSC) Award, in 1996, for her work on '' Hotel Sorrento'' (1995) and ''Brilliant Lies'' (1996). With ''Hotel Sorrento'' she was also nominated for an AFI Award for Best Original Music Score in 1995. In 2003 she won the Screen Music Award, co-presented by AGSC with APRA AMCOS, category Best Music for a Mini-Series or Telemovie for ''Evil Never Dies''; in 2007 she won Best Music for a Television Series or Serial for '' Two Twisted'', episode "Delivery Man" (2006) and she won Best Music for a Documentary for ''Trishna & Krishna: The Quest for Separate Lives'' (2009) in 2010. ''The Lost World'' (officially ''Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World'') is a syndicated television series loosely based on the 1912 novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, '' The Lost World''. ''Twisted Tales'' is an Australian television anthology and mystery drama which screened on the Nine Network from December 1996 to January 1998. Each episode was narrated by Bryan Brown, who also produced the follow-up series, '' Two Twisted'', in 2006. Each episode of the series contains a twist ending. Release The series initially aired during December 1996 and January 1997, before going on hiatus. Later in 1997, a video titled ''Still Twisted'' was made for the Australian and American markets. The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is an Australian orchestra based in Melbourne. The MSO is resident at Hamer Hall. The MSO has its own choir, the MSO Chorus, following integration with the Melbourne Chorale in 2008. Richard Franklin (director)
Richard Franklin (15 July 1948 – 11 July 2007) was an Australian film director. Early life and career Franklin was born and grew up in Brighton, Melbourne, the son of Margaret Anne (Jacobson) and Rea Richard Franklin, an engineering company director. He was educated at Haileybury College. In the 1960s, Franklin was the drummer in the Melbourne band The Pink Finks, which also featured Ross Wilson and Ross Hannaford, later of Daddy Cool. The band released several singles, none of which had any significant chart success. Franklin decided upon a career in film rather than music. He went on to study film at The University of Southern California alongside other notable directors George Lucas, Robert Zemeckis and John Carpenter. Bruce Rowland (born 9 May 1942 in Melbourne) is an Australian composer. Biography Rowland composed the soundtrack for the 1982 movie '' The Man from Snowy River'', as well as the soundtrack for its 1988 sequel ''The Man from Snowy River II'' (which has the United States title of ''Return to Snowy River'', and the United Kingdom title of ''The Untamed''). Both films were based on Banjo Paterson's poem The Man from Snowy River.
