The Nepal Super League (), simply known as the NSL, is Nepal, Nepal's first professional Franchising, franchise club association football, football league organised by the ''Nepal Sports and Events Management'' (NSEM) with technical support of the All Nepal Football Association, ANFA. Seven franchises participated in the first edition of the tournament, which was held at Dasharath Rangasala, Dasharath Rangasala Stadium from 24 April to 15 May 2021. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) (Nepali language, Nepali: अखिल नेपाल फुटबल संघ (एन्फा)) is the governing body of football in Nepal. It is responsible for the Nepal national football team, men's and Nepal women's national football team, women's national teams as well as club competitions. The organisation was founded in 1951 as the All Nepal Football Association and became affiliated with FIFA in 1972. The current President of ANFA is Pankaj Bikram Nembang. Birgunj () is a metropolitan city in Parsa District in Madhes Pradesh in southern Nepal. It lies south of the capital Kathmandu, attached in the north to Raxaul on the border of the Indian state of Bihar. As an entry point to Nepal from Patna, Birgunj is known as the "Gateway of Nepal". Jhapa District (; ) is a district of Koshi Province in eastern Nepal named after a Rajbanshi Surjapuri language word "Jhapa", meaning "to cover" (verb).
