Neopup PAW-20
The Neopup PAW-20 (Personal Assault Weapon, 20 mm) is a 20×42mm semi-automatic grenade launcher designed by Tony Neophytou and as of 2015, is produced and marketed by Denel. Overview The PAW-20 is a hand-held, semi-automatic direct fire grenade launcher that fires a 20×42mm point-detonating round. It holds six rounds in a detachable rotary magazine, with an effective range of 300–400 meters. It was designed mainly as an anti-personnel grenade launcher for use against opposition closely grouped together or behind light cover. However, it is also compatible with less-than-lethal ammunition. The PAW-20 is in direct competition with the more complicated and expensive joint German-U.S. XM25 CDTE and Korean S&T Daewoo K11. The PAW-20 has attracted some criticism due to the location of the ejection port. Anti-materiel Rifles
An anti-materiel rifle (AMR) is a rifle designed for use against military equipment, structures, and other hardware (materiel) targets. Anti-materiel rifles are chambered in significantly larger calibers than conventional rifles and are employed to eliminate equipment such as engines and unarmored or lightly armored targets. Although not originally designed for use against human targets, the bullet weight and velocity of anti-materiel rifles gives them exceptional long-range capability even when compared with designated sniper rifles. The Peshmerga () are the internal security forces of Kurdistan Region. The ''Maschinengewehr'' (MG) 151 is a belt-fed autocannon for aircraft use, developed in Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1940 and produced by Waffenfabrik Mauser during World War II. It was originally produced in 15.1 mm caliber from 1940, with a 15×96mm cartridge, but due to demand for higher effect against aircraft, especially with the introduction of mine shells for the 20 mm MG-FF/M aircraft cannon, the design was rechambered to 20 mm caliber in 1941, using a newly developed 20×82mm cartridge which traded projectile velocity for explosive power. The 20×82mm (sometimes 20×82mm Mauser) is a German 20 mm caliber Cartridge (firearms), cartridge developed during World War II for the MG 151/20 cannon. It continues to see usage today with the South-African Vektor GA-1 autocannon and Denel NTW-20 anti-material rifle and some remaining users of the MG 151/20. Usage The cartridge was developed in Nazi Germany during World War II as a necked-up 20 mm variant of the 15×96mm cartridge in use with the MG 151/15 heavy aircraft machinegun. The 15 mm caliber proved to be insufficient for aircraft use and it was thus decided to redevelope the cartridge into 20 mm caliber, by shortening and necking-up the casing, and installing the 20 mm mine shells of the MG FF cannon, MG FF/M. Semi-automatic Firearm
A semi-automatic firearm, also called a self-loading or autoloading firearm ( fully automatic and selective fire firearms are also variations on self-loading firearms), is a repeating firearm whose action mechanism automatically loads a following round of cartridge into the chamber and prepares it for subsequent firing, but requires the shooter to manually actuate the trigger in order to discharge each shot.
