''Neon Pill'' is the sixth studio album by American rock band Cage the Elephant. It was released on May 17, 2024, by RCA Records. ''Neon Pill'' follows ''Social Cues'' (2019), which marks the longest gap between two Cage the Elephant studio albums. The title track was nominated for Best Alternative Music Performance at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards. Background The album's full track listing was announced by Cage the Elephant on social media on March 19, 2024. Promotion The album was preceded by the release of the title track as the lead single on January 19, 2024. The song was the band's first release in five years. Rob Moose (born 1982) is an American multi-instrumentalist, arranger, producer, conductor, and orchestrator. He primarily plays the violin, viola, and guitar. Early life and education Moose was born in 1982. He was raised in Windsor, Connecticut and learned piano and violin at The Hartt School. He attended the Loomis Chaffee School through 10th grade, before moving with his family to Moorestown, New Jersey. He completed high school at Moorestown Friends School, graduating in 2000. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication).
