Neno Terziyski
Neno Stoyanov Terziyski (; born 23 March 1964) is a Bulgarian weightlifter who competed in the 1980s and 1990s. He won three World and four European championships and competed in the 1992 Summer Olympics The 1992 Summer Olympics (, ), officially the Games of the XXV Olympiad (, ) and officially branded as Barcelona '92, were an international multi-sport event held from 25 July to 9 August 1992 in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Weightlifting (often known as Olympic weightlifting) is a competitive strength athletics, strength sport in which athletes compete in lifting a barbell loaded with weight plates from the ground to overhead, with the aim of successfully lifting the heaviest weights. Athletes compete in two specific ways of lifting the barbell overhead. The ''Snatch (weightlifting), snatch'' is a wide-grip lift, in which the weighted barbell is lifted overhead in one motion. The ''clean and jerk'' is a combination lift, in which the weight is first taken from the ground to the front of the shoulders (the ''clean''), and then from the shoulders to over the head (the ''jerk''). Australia Games was held in Melbourne, Victoria, from 26 January to 5 February 1985. Background The concept of the national festival of sport was first raised in John Bloomfield's report ''Role and Scope and Development of Recreation in Australia'' published in 1973. In 1981, a report titled ''Report on the Feasibility of Australia Games'' resulted in the Fraser government approving the staging of a national sports festival in 1983.
