He specializes in both son cubano and rumba, having sung for La Monumental, Clave y Guaguancó and Conjunto Chappottín. The Nene (''Branta sandvicensis''), also known as the nēnē or the Hawaiian goose, is a species of bird endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. The Nene is exclusively found in the wild on the islands of Maui, Kauai, Molokai, and Hawaii. In 1957, it was designated as the official state bird of the state of Hawaii. HMS ''Nene'' was a , designed for anti-submarine operations, that served with the Royal Navy during the Second World War. In 1944 she was loaned to the Royal Canadian Navy and recommissioned as HMCS ''Nene'', who returned her to the Royal Navy in 1945. Following the war she remained in reserve until disposed of in 1955. Ernest Pérochon (1885–1942) was a French writer who won the ''Prix Goncourt'' in 1920 for his novel ''Nêne''. Initially a teacher, he left his career in education in 1921 to pursue writing.
