Nenad Milenković
Nenad Milenković ( sr-Cyrl, Ненад Миленковић; born 19 February 1972) is a former politician in Serbia. He was briefly a member of the National Assembly of Serbia from 2007 to 2008 and served as mayor of the Belgrade municipality of New Belgrade from 2008 to 2012. A member of the Democratic Party (''Demokratska stranka'', DS) while an elected official, he later became a founding member of Together for Serbia (''Zajedno za Srbiju'', ZZS). Private career Milenković was born in Belgrade, in what was then the Socialist Republic of Serbia in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. He holds a degree in economics. Democratic Party Of Serbia
The New Democratic Party of Serbia ( sr, Нова демократска странка Србије, Nova demokratska stranka Srbije, , NDSS or New DSS) is a national-conservative political party in Serbia. Initially known and formed as Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), the party was formed as a conservative split from the Democratic Party (DS), and has played a key role in the opposition during the 1990s. It was a part of the "Together" coalition and was later a founding member of the Democratic Opposition of Serbia (DOS). Its first leader, Vojislav Koštunica, was elected president of Yugoslavia in 2000, a role which he served until 2003. Dragan Đilas ( sr-cyr, Драган Ђилас, , born 22 February 1967) is a Serbian businessman and politician who served as the mayor of Belgrade from 2008 to 2013. From 25 November 2012 until 31 May 2014, he served as the President of the Democratic Party (DS), the nation's main opposition party. As a member of the Democratic Party, Đilas served as the mayor of the Serbian capital city between 2008 and 2013. He served as the Minister without Portfolio in charge of the National Investment Plan in the 2007–2008 Cabinet of Serbia and prior to that as the director of the People's Office of the President between 2004 and 2007. Parliamentary elections were held in Serbia on 6 May 2012 to elect members of the National Assembly, and were held simultaneously with provincial, local, and presidential elections. 2008 Serbian Local Elections
Local elections were held in Serbia on 11 May 2008, concurrently with the 2008 Serbian parliamentary election and the 2008 Vojvodina provincial election. A re-vote was held at three poling stations in Belgrade on 18 May 2008 due to irregularities in the voting process. Background According to the Constitutional Law adopted by the National Assembly on 30 September 2006 that proclaimed the new constitution, the parliamentary Speaker (at that time Oliver Dulić from DS) had to schedule the elections for local administrative units by 31 December 2007.
