Nemo Rangers
Nemo Rangers Hurling and Football Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Ballinlough, Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated to the Seandún Board and fields teams in Gaelic football, hurling and camogie. History Nemo Rangers Hurling & Football Club was founded in 1922 following the amalgamation of two Cork clubs – Nemo and Rangers. Within six years the new club made their mark by winning the county Intermediate Hurling and Football Championships in 1928, a feat that has never been equalled. Since then Nemo have become notable as a football club, having won seven All-Ireland club football titles. Nemo have established close links with nearby secondary school, Coláiste Chríost Rí. Gaelic Athletic Association
The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA; ; CLG) is an Irish international amateur sports, amateur sporting and cultural organisation, focused primarily on promoting indigenous Gaelic games and pastimes, which include the traditional Irish sports of hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, Gaelic handball, and GAA rounders. The association also promotes Irish music and Irish dance, dance, as well as the Irish language and it also promotes environmental stewardship through its Green Clubs initiative. Tony Nation
Anthony Nation (born 15 July 1963) is an Irish retired Gaelic footballer. His league and championship career with the Cork senior team lasted nine years from 1984 to 1992. Career Nation first played competitive Gaelic football at juvenile and underage levels with Nemo Rangers. After progressing onto the club's senior team, he enjoyed a hugely successful era and won All-Ireland medals in 1984, 1989 and 1994. Nation also won four Munster medals and four county senior championship medals. Nation made his debut on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty when he was selected for the Cork minor team. He enjoyed two championship seasons with the under-21 team, culminating with the winning of an All-Ireland medal in 1984. Munster Senior Club Football Championship
The Munster Senior Club Football Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Football Senior Club Championship) is an annual Gaelic football competition for the champion clubs of each county. It has been organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1964. The series of games are played during the autumn and winter months with the final usually being played in late November. The prize for the winning team is the O'Connor Cup. The championship has always been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the championship. The Munster Championship is an integral part of the wider All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship
The All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football tournament which began in season 1970–71. It is the top-tier competition for the senior football clubs of Ireland and London. The current champions are Cuala of Dublin who defeated Errigal Ciarán of Tyrone on 19 January 2025 to win their first All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. Chiedozie Somkelechukwu Ogbene (born 1 May 1997) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Ipswich Town and the Republic of Ireland national team. Ogbene began his career in Ireland with Cork City and Limerick, before transferring to Brentford in 2018. After a loan spell with Exeter City he moved to Rotherham United in 2019, and then to Luton Town in 2023. After one season with Luton, he signed for Ipswich Town. Ephie Fitzgerald
Ephraim "Ephie" Fitzgerald (born 1961) is an Irish Gaelic football manager who played as a right corner-forward at senior level for the Cork county team. He has been manager of the Waterford county team since 2021. Career Born in Cork, Fitzgerald first played competitive Gaelic football whilst at school at Coláiste Chríost Rí. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team, before later lining out with the under-21 side. Shea Fahy
Shea Fahy (born 6 October 1962) is an Irish Gaelic football coach and former player. At club level he played with Sarsfields and Nemo Rangers and was a member of the Kildare and Cork senior football teams. Fahy usually lined out at midfield. Steven O'Brien (Cork Gaelic Footballer)
Steven O'Brien (born 28 December 1969) is an Irish Gaelic football manager and former player. In a career that spanned three decades he played at club level with Nemo Rangers and at inter-county level with the Cork senior football team. Career O'Brien first played for the Nemo Rangers club as a five-year-old, however, he first came to prominence as a schoolboy with Coláiste Chríost Rí with whom he won the Hogan Cup in 1987. Martin Cronin (Gaelic Footballer)
Martin Cronin (born 1975) is an Irish retired Gaelic footballer. At club level, he played with Nemo Rangers and was also a member of the Cork senior football team. Career Cronin first played Gaelic football with the Nemo Rangers club at juvenile and underage levels, before progressing to adult level in 1994. He won his first Cork SFC medal in 2000, following a 1-14 to 0-07 win over Carbery in the final. It was the first of a then club record of eight Cork SHC medals in an 11-year period.
