Neil Ronan
Neil Ronan (born 1 September 1979) is an Irish retired hurler who played for North Cork club Ballyhea. He played for the Cork senior hurling team at various times over a ten-year period, during which time he usually lined out as a left wing-forward. Ronan began his hurling career at club level with Ballyhea. He broke onto the club's senior team as a 15-year-old in 1995. He was an ever-present member of the team for the next 20 years and enjoyed his greatest success in 2014 when the club won the Cork Premier Intermediate Championship. Ronan's prowess also saw him selected for the Avondhu divisional team. At inter-county level, Ronan was part of the successful Cork under-21 team that won the All-Ireland Championship in 1998. He joined the Cork senior team in 1999. Ballyhea GAA
Ballyhea GAA is a hurling club in the village of Ballyhea in Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated to the Avondhu, division of Cork GAA. As of 2015, the club was competing in the Cork Senior Hurling Championship. It does not field Gaelic football teams. History Ballyhea GAA Club has been in existence for over 126 years. The history of the club published in 1984 say the first GAA meeting took place in Jim Powers's Forge in the townland of Pruntas in late 1885 or early 1886. During its history the club has won County Championships in Senior, Intermediate, Junior and Juvenile Hurling. 2005 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The 2005 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 119th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament, since its establishment in 1887. The draw for the provincial fixtures took place on 17 October 2004. The championship began on 15 May 2005 and ended on 11 September 2005. Cork entered the championship as defending champions. On 11 September 2005, Cork won the championship after a 1–21 to 1–16 defeat of Galway in the All-Ireland final at Croke Park. This was their 30th All-Ireland title overall and their second title in succession. Galway's Ger Farragher was the championship's top scorer with 3-57. The Munster Intermediate Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Hurling Intermediate Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the champion intermediate clubs in the province of Munster in Ireland. It is the most prestigious competition for intermediate clubs in Munster hurling. The Munster Intermediate Club Championship was introduced in 2003. The 2002 Cork Senior Hurling Championship was the 114th staging of the Cork Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1887. The draw for the 2002 opening round fixtures took place on 9 December 2001. The championship ended on 15 September 2002. Blackrock were the defending champions. On 15 September 2002, Blackrock won the championship following a 1-14 to 0-12 defeat of Newtownshandrum in the final. Na Piarsaigh are a hurling and Gaelic football club based in the north side of Cork City, Ireland. History Formation In 1943 a group of idealistic young men drawn mostly from the hurling nursery of North Mon laid the foundations of Cumann Iomana & Peile Na Piarsaigh. The group had its first formal meeting in the presbytery of the North Cathedral. The young men called upon one of their teachers, Donnacha Ó Murchú, for guidance and assistance. Imokilly GAA is a Gaelic football and Hurling division in the east of Cork, Ireland. The division includes towns such as Midleton, Cobh, and Youghal. It is one of eight divisions of Cork County Board. It organizes competitions for the clubs within the division, from Under 12 up to the adult level. The winners of these competitions compete against other divisional champions to determine which club is the county champion. The Fitzgibbon Cup ( ga, Corn Mhic Giobúin) is the trophy for the premier hurling championship among higher education institutions (universities, colleges and institutes of technology) in Ireland. The Fitzgibbon Cup competition is administered by Comhairle Ard Oideachais Cumann Lúthchleas Gael (CLG), the GAA's Higher Education Council. Comhairle Ard Oideachais also oversees the Ryan Cup (tier 2 hurling championship), the Fergal Maher Cup (tier 3 hurling championship) and the Padraig MacDiarmada (tier 4 hurling championship). New Ross (, formerly ) is a town in southwest County Wexford, Ireland. It is located on the River Barrow, near the border with County Kilkenny, and is around northeast of Waterford.
