Neil Edwards (cricketer)
Neil Edwards (born 14 October 1983) is an English cricketer who played for Somerset &Nottinghamshire. He is a left-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. Edwards was born in Treliske near Truro, Cornwall. He scored 213 for Cornwall under-19s against Dorset when only 16 years old and played for Cornwall in the Minor Counties Championship in 2000. He toured Australia with the England under-19s in 2002–03 and represented England under-19s in 2003. He made his debut for the Somerset 2nd XI in 2001, his first-class debut for Somerset against West Indies 'A' in 2002 and his Championship debut in 2003. His maiden first-class century was 160 against Hampshire at Taunton in 2003. He played regularly for Somerset in the second half of the 2006 season and ended that season with a career average of 31 in 24 first-class matches. Truro
Truro (; kw, Truru) is a cathedral city and civil parish in Cornwall, England. It is Cornwall's county town, sole city and centre for administration, leisure and retail trading. County Ground, Taunton
The County Ground, known for sponsorship reasons as Cooper Associates County Ground, and nicknamed Ciderabad, is a cricket ground in Taunton, Somerset. It is the home of Somerset County Cricket Club, who have played there since 1882. The ground, which is located between Priory Bridge Road and St James Street, has a capacity of 8,500. The ground was originally built as part of a sports centre by Taunton Athletic Club in 1881, and became the home of the previously nomadic Somerset County Cricket Club soon after. Having leased the ground for ten years, the club bought the ground in 1896, under the guidance of club secretary Henry Murray-Anderdon. The ground ends are the River End to the north and the Somerset Pavilion End to the south. The Richmond Cricket Club is an Australian cricket club based in Glen Waverley in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. The club plays in the Victorian Premier Cricket Association. Founded in 1854, the Richmond Cricket Club home ground was for most of its history the Richmond Cricket Ground (better known as the Punt Road Oval), a few hundred metres to the east of the Melbourne Cricket Ground. It was a founding member of the Victorian District/Premier Cricket competition in 1906/07. In 2011, the club moved its home base from Richmond to Central Reserve in Glen Waverley. It continued to be known as Richmond until the 2012/13 season. Hampshire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class cricket, first-class county cricket, county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the Historic counties of England, historic county of Hampshire. Hampshire teams formed by earlier organisations, principally the Hambledon Club, always had first-class status and the same applied to the county club when it was founded in 1863.
