Neil Clarke (soccer)
Neil G. Clarke ''(sometimes listed as Clark)'' (born in Scotland) was a Scottish American soccer player who began his career in the Scottish Football League before migrating to the United States. He played in both the National Association Football League and American Soccer League. In 1916, he played in the first two U.S. national team games. Professional career Clarke began his career as a center forward but later moved to center half back. He played for Celtic in the Scottish Football League. In 1913, now based in the United States, he was with the Paterson True Blues of the National Association Football League (NAFBL) when Paterson won the American Cup finals against Diston The first game and first replay both ended in ties with Clarke scoring the tying goal in both games. In the second replay, Paterson won, 2-1, to take the Cup. He then moved to Brooklyn Field Club, winning the 1914 National Challenge Cup with them. In 1914, Clarke is listed with Bethlehem Steel. Neil Clarke (born 1966) is an American editor and publisher, mainly of science fiction and fantasy stories. In 2006, Clarke launched '' Clarkesworld Magazine'' as a companion to his online bookstore Clarkesworld Books (2000-2007). He serves as the editor-in-chief of the digital publication. Fiction published in ''Clarkesworld'' has been nominated for or won the Hugo, Nebula, World Fantasy, Sturgeon, Locus, Ditmar, Aurealis, Shirley Jackson, WSFA Small Press and Stoker Awards. ''Clarkesworld'' has been a finalist for the Hugo Award in the Best Semiprozine category four times (2009, 2010, 2011, 2013) winning in 2010, 2011 and 2013. Neil 'Nobby' Clarke (28 August 1957 – 29 March 2003) was an Australian rules Australian football, also called Australian rules football or Aussie rules, or more simply football or footy, is a contact sport played between two teams of 18 players on an oval field, often a modified cricket ground. Neil Clark (born 3 July 1958, in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Scotland) is a Scottish guitarist, known for his work with Lloyd Cole and the Commotions. He has regularly worked and toured with Lloyd Cole post-Commotions including playing on and touring in support of Cole's 2006 album, ''Antidepressant''. He also worked on Cole's albums ''Bad Vibes'', ''Love Story'', ''Etc'', ''Music in a Foreign Language'', and ''Guesswork''. Clark was a member of Bloomsday with Stephen Irvine of the Commotions and Chris Thomson of The Bathers. Clark features on the Bathers' 1993 album, ''Lagoon Blues''. He collaborated with Canadian singer Mae Moore on her album ''Dragonfly'' - his guitar playing featured on her single "Genuine", which reached No. 6 on the RPM "Top 100" singles chart in Canada. Neil Clark (rugby Union)
Neil Clark (born 8 October 1981) is an English former rugby union player. His position of choice was hooker. Rugby career Clark first played rugby for the youth sides at Helston RFC, before moving joining the Exeter Chiefs. Clark made his debut for Exeter on 9 October 1999 at the age of 18 as a substitute against Orrell R.U.F.C. He made his full debut two seasons later against Bedford and made a handful of starts, before dropping back out of regular first team contention for the next couple of seasons. In 2003, Clark moved to Bristol Shoguns. In his second season with the club he scored the winning try in the penultimate match against Orrell that saw Bristol promoted to the Premiership. Clark injured his anterior cruciate ligament in pre-season training before the 2006-07 season and was released by Bristol in February 2007 during his rehabilitation.
