Nehoiașu
Nehoiu () is a town in Buzău County, Muntenia, Romania, with a population of 9,464 as of 2021. Wood processing is the local main economic activity. The town has a lumbermill since the early 20th century. It officially became a town in 1989, as a result of the Romanian rural systematization program. The town administers nine villages: Bâsca Rozilei, Chirlești, Curmătura, Lunca Priporului, Mlăjet, Nehoiașu, Păltineni, Stănila, and Vinețișu. Nehoiu is located in the northwestern part of the county, from the county seat, Buzău. It lies in a hilly area at the foot of the Curvature Carpathians, on the banks of the Buzău River. Buzău
Buzău (; formerly spelled ''Buzeu'' or ''Buzĕu'') is a city in the historical region of Muntenia, Romania, and the county seat of Buzău County. It lies near the right bank of the Buzău River, between the south-eastern curvature of the Carpathian Mountains and the lowlands of Bărăgan Plain. Buzău is a railway hub in south-eastern Romania, where railways that link Bucharest to Moldavia and Transylvania to the Black Sea coast meet. DN2, a segment of European route E85 crosses the city. DN10
DN10 () is a national road in Romania that runs from Buzău to Brașov, crossing the Carpathian Mountains through the Buzău Pass. The road follows the Buzău River valley and is an important connection between Transylvania and the cities of south-eastern Romania. December 2006 landslide On 16 December 2006, a massive landslide which occurred in the Siriu commune near kilometer 81 rendered DN10 unusable in that area, as some 5000 m3 of dirt flooded the road.
