Negar Bouban
Negar Bouban (Persian: نگار بوبان, also transliterated as Negâr Boubân or Negar Buban) (born Tehran, Iran, 1973) is an Iranian oud and barbat player and student of Mansour Nariman, best known for playing Iranian folk music and improvisational works. Negar Bouban was a Fellow at Music OMI international residency 2012 in New York City and has also worked as a music teacher, music historian, and author. She is an assistant professor in the music department of the Islamic Azad University, Shiraz branch. Life Bouban was born in Kurdistan and grew up in Tehran. Mansour Nariman
Eskandar Ebrahimi-Zanjani (Persian: اسکندر ابراهیمی زنجانی), better known by his stage name Mansour Nariman (, 1935 in Mashhad − 14 July 2015 in Tehran) was an Iranian '' oud'' player, researcher and writer. Life and music He was born with the real name of Iskandar Ebrahimi Zanjani in Mashhad. His father, who himself played the setar, tar and ney, took him under his training from his childhood and introduced him to the dastgah of Iranian music and taught him how to play the setar. Nariman started working with Radio Mashhad as a soloist at the age of fourteen, and after mastering the oud playing style, he started performing music with this instrument in some programs. After working with Radio Mashhad for some time, he moved to Shiraz and continued his activity and cooperation in the field of music and performance with Radio Shiraz for four years. Farzanegan Schools () are girls-only schools located in the cities of Iran, administered under the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents. The schools, which include middle school and high school. NODET "NODET" stands for National Organization for Development of Extraordinary Talents (SAMPAD in Persian). It used to be a separate organization funded by the government. In 2009, it was combined with the Ministry of Education and therefore weakened substantially. The ''barbat'' () or ''barbud'' is a lute of Greater Iran, Greater Iranian or Persian origin, and widespread across Central Asia, especially since the Sassanid Empire. Barbat is characterized as carved from a single piece of wood, including the Neck (music), neck and a wooden Sound board (music), sound board. Hossein Behroozinia (Persian language, Persian: حسین بهروزی‌نیا; born 1962 in Tehran) is an Iranian peoples, Iranian barbat (lute), barbat and oud player. Behroozinia was a student at the Tehran Conservatory of Music, where he studied oud, Tar (string instrument), tar, setar, tonbak, and daf. He studied oud under the supervision of Mansour Nariman, and he learned the radif under the supervision of Mohammad Reza Lotfi. He was eventually appointed to be the music director of Ensemble Khaleghi, as well as the director of music education at the Center of the Preservation Persian music. In 2003, the Ministry of Culture of Iran decorated him with the "First Order of Arts", its highest honor.
