Neftalí Rivera
Neftalí Rivera Oliveras (November 3, 1948 – December 23, 2017) was a Puerto Rican basketball player who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics and in the 1976 Summer Olympics. He holds the record for most points in a game in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional when he scored 79 points on May 22, 1974. In that game he achieved the record by making 34 field goals (all of them 2-pointers as the 3-pointers were not adopted back then) and 11 free throws. He died on December 23, 2017, at Auxilio Mutuo Hospital in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, due to respiratory problems. Career Rivera played for 15 seasons in the BSN. He made his debut in 1969 with the Piratas de Quebradillas and retired in 1983 with the Leones de Ponce. His first 13 seasons were spent with the Piratas, where he won four championships in the seasons of 1970, 1977, 1978, and 1979. Since his debut Rivera was an impact player in the BSN league. Mario Morales
Mario Morales Micheo (born November 13, 1957) is a Puerto Rican former professional basketball player, widely regarded as one of the greatest talents in the history of Puerto Rico's Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN). Nicknamed "Quijote" for his ability to excel in both scoring and leading teams to championships, Morales had a distinguished 24-season career in the BSN, primarily with the Cangrejeros de Santurce and the Mets de Guaynabo. Morales began his professional career in 1974 with the Cangrejeros de Santurce at age 17, while still in high school, and was named the BSN Rookie of the Year in 1975. He went on to become a four-time BSN Most Valuable Player (1980, 1982, 1983, 1993), a record shared with Juan "Pachín" Vicéns and Teófilo Cruz. Teófilo Cruz
Teófilo "Teo" Cruz Downs (January 8, 1942 – August 30, 2005) was a Puerto Rican professional basketball player. After playing college basketball, Cruz played in Puerto Rico's top-level league, the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) with Cangrejeros de Santurce, Indios de Canóvanas, Mets de Guaynabo, Cardenales de Río Piedras, and Taínos de Mayagüez. Cruz also played in Spain with Picadero Damm, and in Belgium with Racing Club Mechelen. Cruz was also a member of the senior Puerto Rican national basketball team, and he represented Puerto Rico in five Summer Olympic Games, from 1960 to 1976, making him the first athlete to do so. On March 1, 2007, he became an International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Hall of Famer. College career Cruz played college basketball in the United States. Raymond Dalmau
Raymond Dalmau Pérez (born October 27, 1948) is a retired Puerto Rican professional basketball player and coach. Dalmau played in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), the top tier basketball league in the country, for 20 seasons with the Piratas de Quebradillas. At the time of his retirement, at the end of the 1985 season, Dalmau was the BSN's all-time leader in Point (basketball), points (11,592), Rebound (basketball), rebounds (5,673) and Assist (basketball), assists (2,302). Career Dalmau grew up in Harlem, New York. From there he came to Puerto Rico for the first time in 1966, recruited by Raymond Burgos to reinforce the Piratas de Quebradillas in the BSN.
