''Need'' is the fourth studio album by Christian rock artist Todd Agnew. It was released on October 6, 2009, through INO and Ardent records. The first radio single, "Joy Unspeakable", has peaked at No. 45 on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart. His website is currently offering an acoustic EP and a free digital download of "Joy Unspeakable" to those who pre-order the album, and on October 6 they would get a "Need" T-shirt, an autographed copy of "Need", and a digital download of "Need" with 4 bonus tracks. Todd Agnew
Todd Wilson Agnew (born March 15, 1971, in Dallas, Texas) is a contemporary Christian musician and songwriter. Musical career Agnew's best-known song is " Grace Like Rain", a version of " Amazing Grace", which was featured on his first album, '' Grace Like Rain'', released in June 2003. Agnew wrote this song with his friend, Chris Collins. Since then, Agnew has released five label albums. 2005's '' Reflection of Something'' introduced the popular songs "My Jesus" and "Unchanging One", which are often featured on Contemporary Christian radio stations. In late 2006, after the two highly acclaimed studio projects, he wrote a retelling of the Christmas story on his album entitled '' Do You See What I See?''. Oh The Deep, Deep Love Of Jesus
"O the Deep Deep, Love of Jesus" is a well-known Christian hymn, written by the London merchant Samuel Trevor Francis. Francis (1834–1925) had a spiritual turning point as a teenager, contemplating suicide one night on a bridge over the River Thames. Experiencing a renewal of faith, he went on to author many poems and hymns and was a preacher in addition to his merchant career. The song compares Jesus' love to the ocean in scope, emphasizing the limitless, unchanging, and sacrificial nature of God's affections for the singer and all of humanity. It consists of three stanzas each utilizing an A, A, B, B rhyming structure. Various melodic and harmonic arrangements of the song have been published, the most common being a minor melody in 4/4 time. Susan Marshall (musician)
Susan Marshall is an American folk rock, pop and soul vocalist, pianist, songwriter and recording artist. She is best known for her work with Mother Station, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lenny Kravitz, The Afghan Whigs, Primal Scream, North Mississippi Allstars, Lucinda Williams, Ana Popović and Katharine McPhee. After completing high school in Memphis Tennessee and attending theatre school, Marshall was engaged by the year-round Off-Broadway repertory company, Light Opera of Manhattan, where she performed leading roles in operettas for nearly six years. In 1990, she returned to Memphis, where she co-founded a band, Mother Station, began writing songs and soon became a backup vocalist for well-known artists, contributing vocals to dozens of albums. Jennifer Judy "JJ" Heller (born October 19, 1980, ''née'' Kellner) is an American Christian folk singer. After releasing multiple albums, she had two songs that charted. "Your Hands" from her 2008 album ''Painted Red'' and "What Love Really Means" from the album ''When I'm with You'' both peaked at number 13. Career Heller grew up in San Jose, California in a family with strong Christian values. She didn't listen to music much as a child. She attended high school at Valley Christian High School and then went on to attend college at San Jose Christian College (now William Jessup University) and began writing songs in her second year. The tambourine is a musical instrument in the percussion family consisting of a frame, often of wood or plastic, with pairs of small metal jingles, called " zills". Rick Steff is a Memphis keyboard artist who has recorded with bands such as Lucero, Cat Power, Dexys Midnight Runners, and Hank Williams Jr. Rick's father is Dick Steff, a trumpet player who appeared on many songs with Elvis Presley, and Dusty Springfield. After beginning his career playing with a variety of Memphis musicians, in the early 1980s Steff moved to England and recorded as the organist for Dexy's Midnight Runners. After returning to America, Rick spent six years touring with Hank Williams Jr. until 1994. While playing with Williams, he also appeared on Don Nix's 1994 album, ''Back To The Well''. The Hammond organ is an electric organ invented by Laurens Hammond and John M. Hanert and first manufactured in 1935. Multiple models have been produced, most of which use sliding #Drawbars, drawbars to vary sounds.
