Neda Moridpour
Neda Moridpour is an artist, educator and organizer who is the co-founder of two artist-activist collaboratives, Louder Than Words (with S.A. Bachman) and rt Collective (with Pouya Afshar.) Moridpour's work investigates cycles of violence that leads to dislocation, gender and racial inequity while establishing dialogue and attempting to mobilize communities. "Louder Than Words" received the 2014 Women's Caucus for Art International Honor Roll award. rt Collective won the 1st prize in the Farhang Foundation Short Film Festival. The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is an art museum located on Wilshire Boulevard in the Miracle Mile vicinity of Los Angeles. LACMA is on Museum Row, adjacent to the La Brea Tar Pits (George C. Page Museum). LACMA was founded in 1961, splitting from the Los Angeles Museum of History, Science and Art. Four years later, it moved to the Wilshire Boulevard complex designed by William Pereira.
