Necrology (album)
''Necrology'' is an EP by Swedish goregrind band General Surgery. The first press, released as 7" vinyl, includes only the first 5 tracks. Re-released in 1993 by Nuclear Blast as cd in a "poster bag" format with a poster holding the lyrics on one side and the cover art on the other. Includes a sticker. Underground Series limited to 2,000 copies. It came with two bonus tracks. Reissued and re-mastered in 2011 with different (orange colored) artwork, the bonus tracks from the 1993 re-release, and the following bonus tracks from the 1990 demo ''Pestisferous Anthropophagia''. The song "The Succulent Aftermath of a Subdural Hemorrhage" appears on the compilation 5 Years Nuclear Blast, 1993. General Surgery (band)
General Surgery is a Swedish goregrind group known as one of the earliest Carcass clones. Their 1991 debut ''Necrology'' was released by Relapse Records and would be General Surgery's only material released until 2001, when the group recorded one track for the Carcass tribute album, ''Requiems of Revulsion''. However, in 2003, General Surgery reformed and released a split album with The County Medical Examiners and have since released a collection of demos, two split 7-inches, a 2005 demo, a split album with Butcher ABC, and two full-length albums. Goregrind is a fusion genre of grindcore and death metal. British band Carcass are commonly credited for the emergence of the genre. Goregrind is recognized for its heavily edited, pitch shifted vocals and abrasive musicianship rooted in grindcore and its lyrical emphasis on gore, death, pathology, and rape. Relapse Records is an American independent record label based in Upper Darby Township, Pennsylvania. It was founded by Matthew F. Jacobson in 1990. The label features many grindcore, death metal, metalcore and sludge metal artists. History The label was started by Matthew F. Jacobson in August 1990 in his parents' basement in Aurora, Colorado. Joachim "Jocke" Carlsson

Matti Kärki, (born 13 December 1972) is a Sweden, Swedish singer who is best known for his work with Dismember (band), Dismember. Before he joined Dismember in 1991, he was the singer in the Swedish band Carnage (band), Carnage (1989-1990). The first band fronted by Kärki was Therion (band), Therion in 1989. He also appears with the Autopsy-inspired Murder Squad since 1993. Furthermore, he was part of the experimental band Carbonized (band), Carbonized from 1988 to 1990. Kärki appeared as a guest-singer of Entombed (band), Entombed and sang "But Life Goes On" on the Entombed show in Sala on 24 June 1990.
