Necrodeath is an Italian extreme metal band from Liguria. It is one of the first extreme metal bands originating in Italy. They take inspiration from Slayer, Dark Angel (band), Dark Angel, Possessed (band), Possessed, Venom (band), Venom, Kreator, Celtic Frost, Bathory (band), Bathory and Sodom (band), Sodom. The band is also renowned for its live performances, and notably for their "wall of sound". History The band was formed in 1984 under the name Ghostrider by Claudio (guitars) and Marco Pesenti, Peso (drums) who, right after having seen Venom (band), Venom in concert decided that they wanted to be metal artists as well. Pier Gonella
Pierangelo Gonella is an Italian guitarist, composer and producer, most known in the heavy metal music, metal genre as founding member of the heavy metal music, heavy metal bands Mastercastle, guitar player of the band Necrodeath, past member of the band Labyrinth (band), Labyrinth, producer of many solo projects. Education and influences Pier Gonella began playing guitar at the age of 15. During a 2012 interview he steted "I started to play listening to Pink Floyd, Scorpions (band), Scorpions and Deep Purple in particular. Cadaveria, real name Raffaella Rivarolo (born 31 May 1972), is an Italian musician famous for being one of the first women to enter the extreme metal scene in the early 1990s, as former vocalist and keyboard player of the symphonic black metal band Opera IX. Biography Cadaveria was born in Turin, Italy, on 31 May 1972. She would join the symphonic black metal band Opera IX in 1992, of which she served as the vocalist and keyboard player until 2001, when she left the band alongside bandmate Alberto "Flegias" Gaggiotti (also a member of extreme metal act Necrodeath) to form a new project. In April 2001 Cadaveria and Flegias (using the pseudonym Marçelo Santos) founded the band CADAVERIA. The name of the band is written in all capital letters to distinguish it from the vocalist's name. Sodom (band)
Sodom is a German thrash metal band from Gelsenkirchen, formed in 1982. They have gone through many lineup changes, with bassist/vocalist Tom Angelripper the only constant member. The band is currently composed of Angelripper, guitarists Frank Blackfire, Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik (who was a member of Sodom from 1987 to 1989 and rejoined in 2018) and Yorck Segatz, and drummer Toni Merkel. Sodom has been referred to as one of the "Big Four" of Teutonic thrash metal, along with Kreator, Destruction (band), Destruction and Tankard (band), Tankard. Sodom heavily influenced the German black metal scene, and is regarded as a pioneer of death metal. Slayer
Slayer is an American thrash metal band from Huntington Park, California, formed in 1981 by guitarists Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King, drummer Dave Lombardo and bassist/vocalist Tom Araya. Vlad III, commonly known as Vlad the Impaler ( ) or Vlad Dracula (; ; 1428/31 – 1476/77), was Voivode of Wallachia three times between 1448 and his death in 1476/77.
