Benighted
Benighted is a French deathgrind band formed in Saint-Étienne in 1998. The group comprises vocalist Julien Truchan, guitarists Emmanuel Dalle and Fabien "Fack" Desgardins, bassist Pierre Arnoux and drummer Kevin Paradis, Benighted have released nine studio albums. History Benighted was formed in Saint-Étienne, Rhône-Alpes, France, in May 1998 by vocalist Julien Truchan, guitarists Liem N'Guyen and Olivier Gabriel, drummer Fred Fayolle and bassist Christophe "Chart" Charretier. Their self-titled debut album was released independently in 2000, and combined elements of death metal, black metal and grindcore. The following positive response earned the band a record deal with Adipocère Records in early 2001. During the 2001 recording sessions, Benighted moved towards a more technical form of death metal and released their second album, '' Psychose'', in 2002. Season of Mist is an independent record label and record distributor with subsidiaries in France and the United States. The record label was founded in 1996 by Michael S. Berberian in Marseille, France. From the start releasing black metal, pagan metal, and death metal records, the label moved on to releasing albums of avant-garde metal, gothic metal and punk bands as well. The label has two offices, one in Marseille, France and one in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Season of Mist's name originates from '' The Sandman: Season of Mists'', which in turn comes from the opening phrase of John Keats' "To Autumn". History Season of Mist was formed in 1996, while founder Michael S. Berberian was completing his studies in economic studies initially, according to Berberian, to avoid the compulsory national military service in France. Black Bomb A is a French old school hardcore/crossover band founded in 1995. History In 2003, the band consisted of two singers, Arno and Poun, guitarists Scalp and Snake, bassist Mario, and drummer Hervé. In 2001, they entered the spotlight for the first time with the self-released EP ''Straight in the Vein''. Within two years, Blackbomb A developed into a well-known underground band, with about 300 appearances in France. Their third album ''Speech of Freedom'' held a spot on the French Billboard charts for seven weeks, and was noted for its "angry experimentation-joy", unique in metalcore.
