Necklace Road
PV Narasimha Rao Marg (PVNR Marg) is a road in Hyderabad, Telangana, adjoining the Hussain Sagar lake, which connects NTR Gardens to Sanjeevaiah Park. It is named after the first and the famous Necklace Road in Mumbai's Marine Drive. The road from Sanjeevaiah Park connects to the Tankbund Road which in turn connects to the NTR Gardens, completing a circle. The road was renamed in 2021 on the occasion of centenary celebrations of P. V. Narasimha Rao. This road connects to nearby parks such as Jogi bear park, Sanjeevaiah Park and Jalavihar. Both these parks provide open spaces and calm environment. This boulevard is frequented by early morning joggers, and hosts marathon events, and evening hangouts. Jalavihar
Jalavihar is a waterpark located in Hyderabad, Telangana, (India) within an area of about . Located beside Sanjeevaiah Park and along the Hussain Sagar lake, the park was inaugurated on 20 May 2007. Background R. J. Rao, a non-resident Indian, and a group of individuals funded the in a public-private partnership model with the local tourism department. The department sanctioned of land on Necklace Road abutting the Hussain Sagar lake for this project. Although the land was allotted by the local government headed by N. Chandrababu Naidu in 2000, the work was stalled because of land encroachment and ownership issues. Tank Bund Road
The Tank Bund Road is a road in Secunderabad, Hyderabad, India. The Tank Bund dams Hussain Sagar lake on the eastern side and connects the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It has become an attraction with 33 statues of famous people from the region. The Pakistan Patton tank, now an attraction for visitors to the Tank Bund Road, is a war trophy given to the 54th Infantry Division, and is one that the Indian Army had disabled during the Battle of Basantar in Pakistan, between 15 and 17 December 1971. Parallel to the Tank Bund Road, the Lower Tank Bund road was intended to reduce traffic congestion. Lumbini Park is the nearest park to this road. Hussain Sagar
Hussain Sagar (alternatively referred to as Tank Bund; ) is a heart-shaped lake in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, built by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah in 1562. It is spread across an area of and is fed by the Musi River (India), River Musi. A large monolithic statue of the Gautama Buddha, erected in 1992, stands on Gibraltar Rock in the middle of the lake. NTR Gardens
NTR Gardens is a small public, urban park of adjacent to Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad, where earlier a thermal power station building stood until 1995. It is named after the former Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. T. Rama Rao. Constructed in several phases since 1999, the area that is predominantly a park is geographically located in the centre of the city, and is close to other tourist attractions such as Birla Mandir, Necklace Road and Lumbini Park. Sanjeevaiah Park
Sanjeevaiah Park is a public greenspace and park in the heart of Hyderabad, in Telangana, India. Built on along the banks of Hussain Sagar lake, the park is named after Damodaram Sanjivayya, an erstwhile Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The park is managed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). The park won the Best Open Landscape Award during the 2010 Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage award presentations. The park also houses the second tallest Indian flag. Marine Drive, Mumbai
Marine Drive, often referred to as the Queen's Necklace, is a 3 kilometre-long promenade along the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road in South Mumbai, Mumbai (Bombay), India. The road and promenade were constructed by Pallonji Mistry in 1940. It is a banana-shaped, six-lane concrete road along the coast of a natural bay. At the northern end of Marine Drive is Girgaon Chowpatty and the adjacent road links Nariman Point at the southern tip to Babulnath and Malabar Hill at the northern tip. Marine Drive is situated on reclaimed land facing west-south-west.
