Thessaloniki ( ''Mitropolitiki enotita Thessaloníkis'', ''Metropolitan unit of Thessaloniki'') is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the Modern regions of Greece, Region of Central Macedonia and its capital is the city of Thessaloniki. Geography The regional unit stretches from the Thermaic Gulf in the southwest to the Strymonian Gulf, Strymonic Gulf in the east. Vrasna
Vrasna (, ''Vrasná'' ) is a village and a community of the Volvi municipality. Before the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality of Agios Georgios. The community of Vrasna covers an area of 41.127 km2. According to the statistics of Vasil Kanchov ("Macedonia, Ethnography and Statistics"), 850 Greek Christians lived in the village in 1900. The municipalities of Greece ( , in singular case ) are the lowest level of government within the organizational structure of the state. As of 2021, there are 332 municipalities, further divided into 1036 municipal units and 6136 communities. Thirteen administrative regions form the second-level unit of government.
