Khawaja Nazimuddin
Sir Khawaja Nazimuddin ( bn, খাজা নাজিমুদ্দীন; ur, ; 19 July 1894 – 22 October 1964) was a Pakistani politician and one of the leading founding fathers of Pakistan. He is noted as being the first Bengali to have ruled Pakistan, first as a Governor-General (1948–51), and later as a Prime Minister (1951–53). Born into an aristocratic ''Nawab'' family in Bengal in 1894, he was educated at the Aligarh Muslim University before pursuing his post-graduation studies at the Cambridge University. Upon returning, he embarked on his journey as a politician on the platform of All-India Muslim League. Initially, his political career revolved around advocating for educational reforms and development in Bengal. Khwaja Nizamuddin Bhuiyan ( bn, খাজা নিজামউদ্দিন ভূইয়া) was a Bangladeshi officer in the Gonobahini, who was killed fighting in the Bangladesh Liberation war. He was awarded Bir Uttam, the second highest military award in Bangladesh. He won the Independence Award in 2023 for his contribution to the field of Independence and Liberation War. Early life Bhuiyan was born in Malapara, Comilla, East Pakistan, Pakistan on 19 February 1949. He graduated from G. M Sen Institute in 1964 and from Comilla Victoria College in 1966. He finished his undergraduate and graduates studies in Communication from University of Dhaka in 1969 and 1970 respectively. Career Bhuyan joined InterContinental Dhaka as a controller of accounts. Mohammed Nazimuddin Ahmed (born 1 October 1985) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. A right-handed specialist batsman, he is the captain of Chittagong Division, and has played Test, limited overs and Twenty20 cricket for Bangladesh. Nazimuddin made his first-class debut at the age of 16. Over the following seasons he was selected to play in the Bangladesh A and Bangladesh Under-19 teans. He played his first senior match for Bangladesh in 2007, in a Twenty20 tournament in Kenya. He was also selected in the Bangladesh national squad tour to Australia in August and September 2008. However, he broke his finger in the warmup to the matches and could not participate.
