Naya Sansar (1941)
Naya Sansar ("New World") is a 1941 Indian Hindustani-language film on radical journalism, directed by reporter turned director, N. R. Acharya (1909–1993), and written by a journalist himself, Khwaja Ahmad Abbas, who started his film career with this film. It won him the Bengal Film Journalists' Association Award for the best story and screenplay. It features dialogues by Shaheed Latif and J. S. Kashyap; and stars Renuka Devi (1918–1989) and Ashok Kumar in the lead roles.This film later inspired Khwaja Ahmad Abbas to name his production house as "Naya Sansar" Productions Overview The film was written by Abbas, who was a film critic at that time. Suresh (born as Naseem Ahmed; 13 November 1928 – 14 July 1979), also known as N. A. Suresh, was an Indian actor in Bollywood, who was born in Gurdaspur, Punjab, India. He acted in Hindi/Hindustani and Punjabi films from 1941 to 1979. Early life Suresh started as a child artiste in 1929 as baby Krishna in ''Gopal Krishna'' and as a child artiste in ''Nishan-e-Jung'' in 1937. Khwaja Ahmad Abbas (7 June 1914 – 1 June 1987) was an Indian film director, screenwriter, novelist, and journalist in Urdu, Hindi and English. He won four National Film Awards in India. Internationally, his films won the (Golden Palm Grand Prize) at Cannes Film Festival (out of three nominations) and the Crystal Globe at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
