Nawa () is a village in central Syria, administratively part of the Salamiyah District of the Hama Governorate. It is located north of Salamiyah. Na Wa (, ; , ) is a district (''amphoe'') in Nakhon Phanom province, Isaan, northeast Thailand. Geography Neighbouring districts are (from the northeast clockwise): Si Songkhram district, Si Songkhram, Phon Sawan district, Phon Sawan, and in Sakon Nakhon province the districts Kusuman district, Kusuman, Mueang Sakon Nakhon district, Mueang Sakon Nakhon, Phanna Nikhom district, Phanna Nikhom, and Akat Amnuai district, Akat Amnuai. NWA Hollywood Wrestling (sometimes referred to as NWA Los Angeles) was a professional wrestling promotion headquartered in Los Angeles, California in the United States that promoted professional wrestling matches throughout Southern California. Don Mlangeni Eric Nawa (7 June 1959 – 16 April 2025) was a South African actor. He was best known for his roles in the popular serials '''Sgudi 'Snaysi'', ''Isidingo'' and ''The Throne''. Background Nawa was born in Boksburg, Union of South Africa on 7 June 1959. Nawa was married to Regina Nawa and had five children. He died on 16 April 2025, at the age of 65. Career Nawa started his acting career in the theatre. His first television credit was in the lead role of David in the Zulu television mini series ''Ubambo Lwami'' in 1989. In 1992 he had his breakthrough role as Zakhe in the drama serie ''Hlala Kwabafileyo''. In 1993, he made his first appearance in the popular comedy series '''Sgudi 'Snaysi'' in which he played a loan shark, often playing across co-star Joe Mafela. Na'wah (Upper Yafa)
Na'wah or Nawa (Arabic: نعوة) was a sheikhdom and dependency of Upper Yafa. It was a section of the Mawsata. History Na'wah was a dependency of Upper Yafa. It was placed within the British sphere of influence in the Anglo-Ottoman Convention of 1914. However, it never signed a protectorate treaty with Britain. In 1908, Britain fined Na'wah $1200 for aggression against Al-Dhubi. In February 1915, during World War I, one of the sheikhs of Na'wah submitted to the Ottomans, although another refused to comply with the Ottoman summons. It was annexed by the Mutawakkilite Kingdom of Yemen after the end of World War I, alongside Rubeaten (another Upper Yafa dependency) and later the Beda Sultanate. Nawa () is a city in southern Syria, administratively belonging to the Daraa Governorate. It has an altitude of . In 2007 it had a population of 59,170, making it the 28th largest city in Syria. In antiquity, Nawa had a significant Jewish population and also served as ecclesiastical seat, home to at least two 5th-century bishops. Under early Muslim rule Nawa was the principal city of the Hauran region and was widely associated with the prophet Job. The city declined at least by the 13th century. Under Mamluk rule it was the administrative center of the Jaydur district (the northwestern Hauran plain), a position it continued to under the Ottomans. Nawa District
Nawa (Pashto; ناوه ) is a large district in the far south of Ghazni Province, Afghanistan. It is 100 km south from Ghazni in a mountainous region. The salt lake Ab-i Istada is located in the northern part of the district. Nawa's population was estimated at 29,054 in 2002, of whom around 45% were children under 12. The district center is the village of Nawa. Military operations in the district were featured in articles in the Washington Post and the New York Times in October 2009.
