Navrattan Group is an Indian business conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The group operates across various sectors, including energy, construction, transportation, and healthcare. History Navrattan Group was established in 2004 by Himansh Verma and is based in Patiala, Punjab. Since its inception, the company has expanded into multiple sectors, including those focused on sustainable development and technological innovation. In 2021, the group announced to launch a new electric bus incorporating advanced glass fibre composite technology. In May 2024, Navrattan Group announced its entry into the cement industry through the formation of Navrattan Green Cement Industries Private Limited (NGCIPL), with an investment of Rs. 500 crore. A cement is a binder, a chemical substance used for construction that sets, hardens, and adheres to other materials to bind them together. Cement Corporation of India Limited (CCI) is the only cement manufacturing Public Sector Undertaking of Government of India. The company was incorporated as a wholly government-owned corporation on 18 January 1965, with the objective of setting up cement units in public sector to help achieve self-sufficiency in cement production in the country.
