Naughty Martine
''Naughty Martine'' or ''The Fan'' (French: ''L'éventail'') is a 1947 French comedy film directed by Emil-Edwin Reinert and starring Dany Robin, Claude Dauphin and Lucien Baroux. The film's sets were designed by the art director Guy de Gastyne. Synopsis Martine, a young woman at a boarding school, invents a more exciting, romantic life for herself to impress her schoolfriends and suggests to them that she is having an affair with a famous composer Jacques Brévannes. She escapes from the school and goes to meet him in the French Alps. Soon she is torn between him and a mountain guide she encounters there. Emil-Edwin Reinert, or Emile-Edwin Reinert, (16 March 1903 – 17 October 1953) was a French film director, screenwriter, audio engineer and producer. Born in Rava-Ruska, Austria-Hungary in 1903, Reinert directed films in France, Great Britain, Switzerland and Austria as well he directed in co productions, associating different countries : Austria, France, Italy, West Germany, Great Britain and the United States. Fritzi Scheff (born Friederike Scheff; August 30, 1879 – April 8, 1954) was an American actress and singer. Biography Born Friederike Scheff in Vienna to Dr. Gottfried Scheff and Anna Yeager, she studied at the Hoch Conservatory in Frankfurt. She made her debut on January 10, 1897, in Nuremberg. She debuted in Munich at the Royal Opera House. In 1901 she first appeared at the Metropolitan Opera, Metropolitan Opera House, New York City, New York, singing roles in ''La Bohème'', ''Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Die Meistersinger'', ''Die Walküre'', and ''Don Giovanni''.
