Kazi Golam Morshed is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and a former member of parliament for Natore-3. Zunaid Ahmed Palak
Zunaid Ahmed Palak (; born 17 May 1980) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician. He is a former Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, and served as a member of the Jatiya Sangsad, representing the constituency of Natore-3. He reportedly admitted enforcing a nationwide internet shutdown during the July–August student protests of 2024. Abul Kalam Azad ( – 23 August 2015) was a Bangladeshi lawyer and politician from Natore District, Natore belonging to Bangladesh Nationalist Party. He was a member of the Jatiya Sangsad. Biography Azad was elected as a member of the Jatiya Sangsad from Natore-3 in the February 1996 Bangladeshi general election, sixth general election of Bangladesh. He was elected as the chairman of Singra Upazila, Singra Upazila Parishad in 2014. Azad died of cardiac arrest on 23 August 2015 at the age of 60. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is the largest Islamist political party in Bangladesh. The origin of the party can be traced back to the original faction founded by Sayyid Abul A'la Maududi in 1941. The predecessor of Jamaat which is known as Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, allegedly opposed the independence of Bangladesh and the dismemberment of Pakistan. Following the independence of Bangladesh, the party was banned along with all other religion-based parties in 1972 by the regime. The ban was lifted in 1976 by the Sayem administration and its leaders were allowed to participate in political activities after 1979, and the current Bangladeshi faction of Jamaat-e-Islami was formed after the ban on religion-based parties was lifted by Ziaur Rahman. The Jatiya Sangsad (), often simply referred to as Sangsad and also known as is the unicameral Legislature, legislative body of Bangladesh. The current parliament of Bangladesh contains 350 seats, including 50 seats reserved exclusively for women. 2001 Bangladeshi General Election
General elections were held in Bangladesh on 1 October 2001. The 300 seats of the Jatiya Sangsad were contested by 1,935 candidates representing 54 parties and 484 independents. The elections were the second to be held under the caretaker government concept, introduced in 1996. The result was a victory for the Four Party Alliance of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh, Jatiya Party (Manju) and Islami Oikya Jote. 2014 Bangladeshi General Election
General elections were held in Bangladesh on 5 January 2014, in accordance with the constitutional requirement that elections must take place within the 90-day period before the expiration of the term of the Jatiya Sangshad on 24 January 2014. The elections were not free and fair. They were preceded by a government crackdown on the opposition, with Bangladesh Nationalist Party and opposition leader Khaleda Zia put under house arrest. The Awami League, officially known as Bangladesh Awami League, is a major List of political parties in Bangladesh, political party in Bangladesh. 2008 Bangladeshi General Election
General elections were held in Bangladesh on 29 December 2008. The two main parties in the election were the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), led by Khaleda Zia, and the Bangladesh Awami League Party, led by Sheikh Hasina.
