National Yang-Ming University
National Yang-Ming University (NYMU) was a public research university in Shipai, Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan. Yang-Ming was named after the Chinese philosopher Wang Yangming. It was merged with National Chiao Tung University into the newly formed National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University on 1 February 2021. NYMU was known for research in the fields of Medicine, Life Sciences and Biotechnology. It was one of the seven national research universities. History The university was founded in 1975 as the National Yang-Ming College of Medicine to cultivate first-class medical professionals and biomedical scientists. National Tsing Hua University
National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) is a public research university in Hsinchu, Taiwan. It was first founded in Beijing. After the Chinese Civil War, president Mei Yiqi and other academics relocated with the retreating Nationalist government to Taiwan, where they reestablished National Tsing Hua University in 1956. National Chengchi University () is a public research university in Taipei, Taiwan. First established in Nanjing in 1927, the university was subsequently reestablished in 1954 in Taiwan as the first reestablished "National University". William Stanton (diplomat)
William A. Stanton (traditional Chinese: 司徒文; born 1947) is an American retired career diplomat. Since his retirement from the U.S. Foreign Service in 2012, he has consecutively served as a professor in Taiwan at National Tsing Hua University, National Taiwan University, National Yang Ming University which became National Yang Ming Jiao Tung University, and in 2021 as Chair Professor at National Chengchi University. Kung-Yee Liang
Kung-Yee Liang () is a Taiwanese biostatistician known for his work on generalized estimating equations, which he introduced together with Scott Zeger in 1986. He is Distinguished Chair Professor at Feng Chia University and chairman of OBI Pharma, Inc. From 1982 to 2010, Liang was a professor at the department of biostatistics at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In 2010, Liang returned to Taiwan and moved towards administrative roles, serving first as the president of the National Yang-Ming University from 2010 to 2017 and then as the president of the National Health Research Institutes from 2017 to 2022.
