This is a list of political parties in Nigeria. The Federal Republic of Nigeria has a multi-party system. The largest by National Assembly seats are the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). There are also a number of smaller parties, the largest of which are the Labour Party (LP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Young Progressives Party (YPP) including the African Democratic Congress (ADC), People's Redemption Party (PRP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and eleven other parties registered with the Independent National Electoral Commission. Abdullahi Adamu
Abdullahi Adamu (born 23 July 1946) is a Nigerian politician who was the governor of Nasarawa State in Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. He is a member and former national chairman of the ruling Party All Progressives Congress (APC). Background Abdullahi Adamu was born at Keffi, Nasarawa State, on 23 July 1946. He attended the Government Secondary School, Makurdi (1960–1962), the Government Technical College, Bukuru (1962–1965) and Kaduna Polytechnic (1965–1968). He returned to Kaduna Polytechnic for a Higher National Diploma in June 1971. Adamu started work in 1967 with the Electricity Corporation of Nigeria. Julius Abure
Julius Abure (born 24 June 1971) is a Nigerian lawyer, politician, and the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP). He is the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP) in Nigeria between 2021 & 2028 (June). His Chaimanship was confirmed on the 4th of April 2025. Abure was previously the National Secretary of the Labour Party and also worked at the Edo State Reform Commission. Iyorchia Ayu
Iyorchia Ayu (born 15 November 1952) is a Nigerian politician; he is the current chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee. A former Nigerian senator, he served as the 5th president of the Nigerian Senate in the Nigerian Third Republic (1992–1993).
