National Intelligence Coordination Committee (Pakistan)
The National Intelligence Coordination Committee (NICC) of Pakistan is headed by the Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence. The overarching intelligence coordination body was given assent by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan in November 2020. It held its inaugural session on June 24, 2021, marking the date the committee became functional. Background The Abbottabad Commission had recommended that a mechanism to integrate civil and military intelligence be set up. On November 24, 2020, Prime Minister Imran Khan approved the creation of the committee. On June 24, 2021, the body held its inaugural session at the Inter-Services Intelligence's headquarters. National Counter Terrorism Authority
The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) ( ur, ), commonly called Nacta, is a Pakistani internal security organization responsible for making counter terrorism and counter extremism policies and strategies. The Directorate-General for Military Intelligence ( ur, ), known as "Military Intelligence" (MI), is an administrative intelligence branch of the Pakistan Army. It is headquartered at the Army GHQ in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The Intelligence Bureau ( ur, ) is a civilian intelligence agency in Pakistan. Established in 1947, the IB is Pakistan's oldest intelligence agency. Appointments and supervision of its operations are authorized by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Brief history The Intelligence Bureau originally part of the British Raj's Intelligence Bureau which was established by the British Army's Major General Sir Charles MacGregor who, at that time, was Quartermaster General and head of the Intelligence Department for the British Indian Army at Shimla, in 1885. State Emblem Of Pakistan
The state emblem of Pakistan was adopted in 1954 and symbolizes Pakistan's ideological foundation, the basis of its economy, its cultural heritage and its guiding principles. Design The four components of the emblem are a crescent and star crest above a shield, which is surrounded by a wreath, below which is a scroll. The crest and the green colour of the emblem are traditional symbols of Islam.
