National Democratic State
A national democratic state is a state formation that is the result of specific Base and superstructure, base and superstructural relation that exists in that given state, according to Marxism–Leninism, Marxist–Leninist theory. The ideological concept was first formulated in the Soviet Union, and it was intended as a tool for Soviet foreign policy as well as communist parties in Third World countries trying to seize power. The Soviets designated both communist states and non-communist states as national democratic states, for example, the communist state of the People's Republic of Angola and the non-communist state of Gamal Abdel Nasser's Egypt. The National Democracy (''Democrazia Nazionale'', DN) party was a spin-off of the Italian Social Movement, after the electoral defeat of 1976. It was born to pursue an agreement with the Christian Democracy, by moving from the neo-fascist ideology of the Italian Social Movement to a post-fascist moderate ideology. The movement became a fully fledged party in February 1977 and ceased to exist in December 1979 after the very poor result of the 1979 election (0.6%). National Democracy (Poland)
National Democracy (, often abbreviated as ND or known as ''Endecja''; ) was a Polish political movement that operated from the second half of the 19th century, during the partitions of Poland, until the end of the Second Polish Republic. It effectively ceased to exist following the Germano–Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939. Throughout its history, National Democracy underwent several phases of development. Initially founded to advocate for Poland's sovereignty against the foreign imperial powers, the movement adopted a right-wing nationalist orientation after the country regained independence. National Democracy (, DN) is a far-right political party in Spain, founded in 1995. It is modelled on the National Rally (RN) of France, and grew indirectly out of several defunct parties like the Spanish Circle of Friends of Europe (CEDADE) group and ''Juntas Españolas''. Until 2018, its leader was Manuel Canduela Serrano, a former member of ''Acción Radical'', a group active in the Valencian Community. National Democracy () is a political ideology in Ukraine. National Democracy is generally Atlanticist and pro-European in foreign policy, being sceptical to closer relations with Russia. Civic nationalism, otherwise known as democratic nationalism, is a form of nationalism that adheres to traditional liberal values of freedom, tolerance, equality, and individual rights, and is not based on ethnocentrism. Civic nationalists often defend the value of national identity by saying that individuals need it as a partial shared aspect of their identity (an upper identity) in order to lead meaningful, autonomous lives and that democratic polities need a national identity to function properly.
