The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) is an association of baseball writers, broadcasters, and publicists in the United States. It was founded in 1962. The NCBWA compiles a preseason ranking of the top 30 teams in the nation, as voted on by its members. In addition, weekly rankings of the top 25 teams are released throughout the season and after the College World Series. Bo Carter serves as executive director of the NCBWA while Mike Montoro is senior associate executive director along with associate executive director Ryan Bomberger, associate executive director Malcolm Gray and assistant executive director Russell Luna. Georgia Southern Eagles
The Georgia Southern Eagles are the athletic team(s) of Georgia Southern University (GS). The Eagles compete in the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) (formerly I-A) and are members of the NCAA Division I Sun Belt Conference. Nick Mingione (born September 10, 1978) is an American college baseball coach and former outfielder who is the current head coach for the Kentucky Wildcats baseball, Kentucky Wildcats. He played college baseball at Embry–Riddle University for coach Greg Guilliams from 1997 to 2000. Playing career Mingione played his college career at Embry–Riddle University. He graduated from ERU in 2000 with a degree in aerospace studies. Coaching career Kentucky After serving as an assistant college coach for 13 seasons, Mingione was named head coach of Kentucky for the 2017 season.
