National Architecture Award Of Chile
The National Architecture Award of Chile () is the highest distinction that an architect can receive in Chile, granted annually by the Colegio de Arquitectos de Chile. It was first given in 1969 on a yearly basis until 1977. Since then, the award is granted every other year. The award acknowledges architects "whose career and ethical and professional performance have set an example for all architects." Winners References

Juan Martínez Gutiérrez
Juan Tomás Martínez Gutiérrez, also known as Juan Martínez (Bilbao, Spain, February 8, 1901 - Santiago, Chile, January 31, 1976) was a Chilean architect awarded the inaugural National Architecture Prize in 1969. Education and career Born in Bilbao, Spain, Juan Martínez emigrated with his family, spending some time in Argentina between 1907 and 1909, before finally arriving in Chile that same year. Martínez enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Chile in 1918, graduating in 1922. In 1928, he traveled to Europe where he remained until 1931, attending the second Bauhaus School and studying the work of the most important architects of that time such as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Peter Behrens, Le Corbusier, and Walter Gropius, who would heavily influence his architecture. Antonia Lehmann
Antonia Lehmann (born 1955) is a Chilean architect and cofounder of Izquierdo Lehmann architecture firm. In 2004, she became the first woman to receive Chile's National Architecture Award. Career Lehmann graduated as an architect from Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in 1982. Two years later, together with Luis Izquierdo, she founded Izquierdo Lehmann, an architecture firm based in Santiago, Chile. Her work has been described as taking "a position of equidistance between vernacular tradition and imported modernity." In 2010, the President of Chile, Sebastian Piñera, appointed her as Director of the advisory board for the Chilean New Urban Policy, a position she held until 2014. Miguel Lawner
Miguel Lawner Steiman (Santiago, 10 August 1928) is a Chilean architect who has received several national awards—including the National Architecture Award in 2019—for his projects, both in the public and private sectors. He served as executive director of the Corporation for Urban Improvement (CORMU) during the Popular Unity administration of Salvador Allende, until the 1973 coup d'état led by Augusto Pinochet. Afterwards, he was arrested and imprisoned in various concentration camps until his release and exile in Denmark. Both from abroad and after his return to Chile in the 1980s, Lawner has continued to work in architectural projects with a focus on social interest, as well as investigating and denouncing the human rights violations perpetrated during the dictatorship. The Bicentenario Park (Spanish: , literally "Bicentennial Park"), is one of the largest parks of the city of Santiago, Chile. The park was designed by the Chilean architect Teodoro Fernández after winning the official design competition in 1998, and the first phase opened its doors in 2007. Teodoro Fernández Larrañaga
Teodoro Fernández Larrañaga (born April 11, 1948, San Sebastián, Spain) is a Chile, Chilean architect of Spaniards, Spanish heritage. Education and career Fernández was born in San Sebastián, Spain, and immigrated to Chile when he was very young with his parents and siblings. He graduated as an architect from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in 1972. Later, he relocated to Madrid to continue his studies. The Universal Exhibition of Seville 1992 – Expo '92 (officially: ) was a universal exhibition held from Monday 20 April to Monday 12 October 1992, at the , in Seville, Spain. Votive Temple Of Maipú
The Votive Temple of Maipú () or Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel () is a Catholic church located in the Chilean commune of Maipú. The height of this basilica is 300 feet tall (91 Meters). Its construction was ordered by Bernardo O'Higgins in 1818 as a thanksgiving to Our Lady of Mount Carmel for the intercession for the victory of the Chilean Army in the Battle of Maipú, where the Independence of Chile was assured. The Estadio Monumental is a association football, football stadium in Macul, south-east of the centre of the Chilean capital Santiago. It serves as the home ground of Colo-Colo, and on occasions also for other clubs and the national football team. The stadium has a current spectator capacity of 47,347.
