Nathaniel Moore (golfer)
Nathaniel Ford Moore III (January 31, 1884 – January 9, 1910), known as Nathan or Nat, was an American golfer from Illinois who competed in the 1904 Summer Olympics. He was the son of James Hobart Moore, a wealthy businessman with controlling interest in the National Biscuit Company, Continental Can, Diamond Match Company and the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad; and his wife Lora Moore. He died in the Chez Shaw brothel in Chicago's Levee district after spending much of the previous night at the Everleigh Club. Drugs were suspected in his death, which led to a crackdown on brothels and morphine abuse in Chicago. In 1904 he was part of the American Olympic golf team which won the gold medal. He finished 28th in this competition. In the individual competition he finished 19th in the qualification and was eliminated in the second round of the match play. Nathaniel Moore (born September 19, 1951) is an American former professional American football, football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 seasons during the 1970s and 1980s. Moore played college football for the Florida Gators football, Florida Gators, and thereafter, he played professionally for the Miami Dolphins of the NFL. He is best known as a favorite passing target of Dolphins quarterbacks Bob Griese and Dan Marino. Nat Moore is also credited as football consultant in the 1977 movie Black Sunday (1977 film), Black Sunday. Moore has also released numerous solo albums on Frogville Records, an independent record company he co-founded with John Treadwell. A prolific songwriter, Moore has written over one thousand songs. In June 2008, Moore won the prestigious Telluride Bluegrass Festival Troubadour Competition, performing for 10,000 festival goers and winning a custom made guitar. Nathan Marcellus Moore (born 10 January 1965 in Hackney, London, England) is an English Indonesian singer and former talent manager. Career Moore joined the boyband Brother Beyond as their lead singer in 1986, when the band and their record label won an auction to record a track with the 1980s record producers Stock, Aitken and Waterman), Moore was subsequently in the line-up of another boyband, Worlds Apart, that had chart success in France. Nathaniel Fish Moore
Nathaniel Fish Moore (December 25, 1782 – April 27, 1872) was the eighth president of Columbia College of Columbia University, Columbia College; he had earlier been a lawyer and served on the faculty. He was the nephew of the college's former president Benjamin Moore (bishop), Benjamin Moore. Moore earned his Bachelor of Arts, AB at Columbia in 1802, during which time his uncle Benjamin Moore (bishop), Benjamin Moore served as president of the college. He was promoted to MA in 1805. In 1817, Moore began his career at Columbia College as an adjunct professor and in 1820 was named a professor of Greek and Latin. In 1830 became titled the Jay Professor of the Greek Language and Literature. Moore resigned his professorship in 1835 to travel to Europe and the Holy Land, and was appointed as the first full-time Librarian of the College in 1838 upon his return.
