Nathan Markelo
Nathangelo Alexandro Markelo (born 7 January 1999) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Bulgarian First League club Hebar Pazardzhik. Born in the Netherlands, he plays for the Curaçao national team. Club career Born in Groningen, Markelo was signed by English club Everton in 2017 after being scouted playing in a youth tournament for FC Volendam. He moved on loan to FC Twente in July 2020. He signed for Jong PSV in August 2021 on a permanent deal. On 9 July 2022, Markelo joined Excelsior on a three-year contract. At the end of the 2022–23 season, his contract with Excelsior was terminated by mutual consent. On 3 August 2023, Markelo signed a contract with Fortuna Sittard for one season, with an option to extend for two more years. The Premier League Cup is an English football competition run by the Premier League for under-21 sides. History The competition was established in 2013 as the U21 Premier League Cup, an under-21 equivalent of the FA Youth Cup (an under-18 competition competed for since 1952), albeit being run by the Premier League instead of The Football Association. In 2016, the age range of the competition was raised to under-23s, and the competition was renamed as simply the Premier League Cup. Jahnoah Guevara Markelo (born 4 January 2003) is a Dutch football player. He plays as a right winger for Swiss Super League club Zürich. Career On 19 May 2022, Markelo signed a three-year contract with Go Ahead Eagles. He made his Eredivisie debut for Go Ahead Eagles on 27 August 2022 in a game against Sparta Rotterdam. In Summer 2024, Markelo moved to Slovenian PrvaLiga club NK Celje, but already on 10 September 2024, he moved to Swiss Super League club FC Zürich starting of their reserve team.
