Nathan are a Canadian alternative country band based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The band released four albums and won several awards, including a 2008 Juno Award. History Nathan was formed in 2001. Winnipeg () is the capital and largest city of the province of Manitoba in Canada. ''Great Canadian Song Quest'' is a Canadian songwriting contest, presented by CBC Music. The Juno Awards of 2008 were held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on the weekend ending 6 April 2008. These ceremonies honoured music industry achievements in Canada in the latter part of 2006 and in most of 2007. Country performer and multiple Juno Award winner Paul Brandt received the 2008 Humanitarian Award which is now named after CHUM-FM Radio founder, Allan Waters. The Juno Awards, more popularly known as the JUNOS, are awards presented annually to Canadian musical artists and bands to acknowledge their artistic and technical achievements in all aspects of music. New members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame are also inducted as part of the awards ceremonies.
