Nate Lowe
David Nathaniel Lowe Jr. ( ; born July 7, 1995) is an American professional baseball first baseman for the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Tampa Bay Rays and Texas Rangers. He made his MLB debut in 2019 with the Rays. Amateur career Lowe attended Pope High School in Marietta, Georgia, where he also played upright bass in orchestra and jazz bands. He enrolled at Mercer University and played college baseball for the Mercer Bears in 2014. He transferred to St. Johns River State College for the 2015 season, and transferred to Mississippi State University to play for the Mississippi State Bulldogs for 2016. That year, he was named a Second Team All-American by Louisville Slugger. The Bowling Green Hot Rods are a Minor League Baseball team of the South Atlantic League and the High-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. Class A Short Season (officially Short-Season A) was a level of play in Minor League Baseball in the United States from 1965 through 2020. In the hierarchy of minor league classifications, it was below Triple-A, Double-A, Class A-Advanced (created in 1990), and Class A. Teams in Class A Short Season played about 75 to 80 games per season, compared to the 130- to 140-game seasons of most professional baseball minor leagues. The Hudson Valley Renegades are a Minor League Baseball team based in Fishkill, New York. The High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, the Renegades play in the South Atlantic League.
