Nate Johnson is an American college basketball player for the Kansas State Wildcats of the Big 12 Conference. He previously played for the Akron Zips. Career Johnson attended Lakota East High School in Liberty Township, a suburb of Cincinnati. As a junior, he averaged 16.0 points and 3.7 assists per game. Following his high school career, he committed to play college basketball at the University of Akron. As a redshirt junior with Akron, Johnson was named the MAC Player of the Year and MAC Defensive Player of the Year. Nathan Johnson is an American meteorologist serving as Vice President of Weather Content and Operations for NBC Universal owned and operated stations (including Telemundo) since November 2018, a position created by NBC for Johnson. He Previously he worked for WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina as a meteorologist and executive producer focusing on weather operations since 2007. Johnson has also served meteorology lecturer at North Carolina State University since 2010 and serves as gameday meteorologist for NC State football games at Carter-Finley Stadium. Prior to joining WRAL, Johnson was a data services meteorologist with Baron Services in Huntsville, Alabama. Prior to that he served as chief meteorologist at KTXS-TV in Abilene, Texas. Nathan Elijah Johnson (June 19, 1920 – August 24, 2004) was an American football tackle. Johnson was born in Dale, Illinois in 1920 and attended Benton High School in Benton, Illinois. He played college football at Illinois. He was selected as the most valuable player on the 1941 Illinois Fighting Illini football team. He played professional football in the All-America Football Conference for the New York Yankees in 1946 and 1947 and the Chicago Rockets/Hornets in 1947 and 1948. He was traded by the Yankees to the Rockets in May 1948 in exchange for fullback Bill Daley. When the AAFC disbanded, he played in the National Football League for the New York Yanks in 1950. He appeared in 65 professional football games, 49 of them as a starter.
