Natalie Robinson Cole
Natalie Robinson Cole (1901 – December 12, 1984) was an American educator known for her teaching methods in elementary classrooms. For much of her career, Cole taught inner city children in the Los Angeles area. She wrote two books, ''Arts in the Classroom'' (1940) which, as of 1963, had been reprinted thirteen times. Her second book, ''Children’s Art from Deep Down Inside'' was published in 1966.Reviews for ''Children's art from deep down inside'' * * Later in her career she held workshops and demonstrations on her method of teaching. A field trip or excursion is a journey by a group of people to a place away from their normal environment. When done for students, as it happens in several school systems, it is also known as school trip in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Bangladesh, and school tour in Ireland. A 2022 study, which used randomized controlled trial data, found that culturally enriching field trips led students to show a greater interest in arts, greater tolerance for people with different views, and boosted their educational outcomes.
