Natalie Maines
Natalie Louise Maines (born October 14, 1974) is an American musician. She is the lead vocalist for the country band the Chicks. In 1995, after leaving Berklee College of Music, Maines was recruited by the Dixie Chicks to replace their lead singer, Laura Lynch. With Maines as lead vocalist, the band earned 10 Country Music Association Awards and 13 Grammy Awards for their work between 1998 and 2007. In 2006, with Maines still acting as lead singer, the Dixie Chicks released '' Taking the Long Way''. The album subsequently won five Grammy Awards (including Album of the Year). The Dixie Chicks new album '' Gaslighter'' was released on July 17, 2020. As a solo artist, Maines released the album, ''Mother'', on May 7, 2013. The Maines Brothers Band
The Maines Brothers Band is an American, Texas-based country music band. The Maines Brothers for which the band was named are Lloyd Maines (steel, rhythm, and electric guitar, vocals), Donnie Maines (percussion, vocals), Kenny Maines (lead vocals, bass guitar, harmonica), and Steve Maines (lead vocals, rhythm guitar). Other members of the band have included Jerry Brownlow, Randy Brownlow, Cary Banks, Richard Bowden, and LaTronda Maines. Terry Allen has collaborated with the band as well. The Maines Brothers Band got its start in the mid-1950s with James and Sonny Maines, father and uncle of the Lloyd/Donnie/Kenny/Steve combo that eventually formed the band. Lubbock High School is a 5A high school serving grades nine to twelve in Lubbock, Texas, as part of the Lubbock Independent School District. Lloyd Wayne Maines (born June 28, 1951) is an American country music record producer, musician and songwriter. He was inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame as one of the first three members, the other two being Willie Nelson and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
