Natale Cirino
Natale Cirino (5 February 1894 – 29 May 1962) was an Italian stage and film actor. Life and career Born in Catania, Cirino started his career entering the most important theatrical companies active in Sicily (including the ones held by Turi Pandolfini, Michele Abruzzo, Rosina Anselmi and Giovanni Grasso) before forming his own stage company in 1928. In 1943 he made his film debut in the Pino Mercanti's historical drama ''All'ombra della gloria'', and from then he started an intense career as a character actor, with some sporadic main roles. He was married to stage actress Rita Alaimo (1894-1964). The Italian military rank of ''maresciallo'' (; marshal) is classified as a "sub-officer" and is the highest rank of non-commissioned officer in the Italian Armed Forces. It is higher than the rank of sergeant but lower than that of Ensign (rank), ensign/second lieutenant. There are from three to five grades within the rank, according to the different branches of the armed forces. The rank is achieved through merit or attending the ''Scuola Allievi Marescialli'' (School of Student Marshals). Marshal is an intermediate rank of the armed forces which is currently granted to Non-commissioned officer, NCOs with the training and technical competence to carry out specialised executive roles, and to command smaller and technically complex units. Ergastolo
''Ergastolo'' (aka ''Prison'') is a black and white 1952 Italian crime melodrama film directed by Luigi Capuano. Plot Rosa Lulli, has an illegitimate 20-year-old son, named Stefano, who lives with her in the house of Professor Arlotta. Stefano is in love with Lydia, the granddaughter of the professor. The couple has a gambling addiction: the need to obtain a large sum to meet gambling debts, which pushes him to accept the loving invitation of Jeannette, owner of a dance school, where Stefano goes to play. But Jeannette is the lover of Pasquale Anitra, head of a criminal gang. When he is killed in Jeannette's home, Stefano is framed and arrested and tried for the murder.
