Narottam Puri (born 1946) is an Indian sports journalist and broadcaster. Puri graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College New Delhi, and completed his master's degree in otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Delhi University. Presently, he is the Medical Advisor - Fortis Healthcare, Advisor (Health Services) - FICCI and Chairman - NABH Emeritus consultant (ENT) - Fortis Healthcare. Sports journalism is a form of writing that reports on matters pertaining to sporting topics and competitions. In sports broadcasting, a sports commentator (also known as sports announcer or sportscaster) provides a real-time commentary of a game or event, usually during a live broadcast, traditionally delivered in the historical present tense. Radio was the first medium for sports broadcasts, and radio commentators must describe all aspects of the action to listeners who cannot see it for themselves.
