Narhari Prasad Sai
Narhari Prasad Sai (1929 – 8 December 1999) was an Indian politician who was a member of the 6th Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament. He was from Bandarchuan village near Kunkuri in the Jashpur State, India. Sai was elected from Raigarh in Madhya Pradesh. He had defeated the Congress candidate in the post-emergency elections to the Parliament and was made a Minister of State for Communication in the Morarji Desai led Janata party government. He lost the next election to Pushpa Devi Singh Pushpa Devi Singh (born 18 May 1948) is an Indian politician who served on the 7th Lok Sabha for the Indian National Congress party. Pushpa Devi Singh was born into a Gondi people, Gond Adivasi Royal family of Sarangarh Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Morarji Desai
Morarji Ranchhodji Desai (29 February 1896 – 10 April 1995) was an Indian independence activist and politician who served as the 4th Prime Minister of India between 1977 to 1979 leading the government formed by the Janata Party. During his long career in politics, he held many important posts in government such as Chief Minister of Bombay State, Home Minister, Finance Minister and 2nd Deputy Prime Minister of India. Following the death of Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, Desai was a strong contender for the position of Prime Minister, only to be defeated by Indira Gandhi in 1966. He was appointed as Deputy Prime Minister (as Minister of Finance) in Indira Gandhi's cabinet, until 1969. When Indian National Congress split in 1969 he became a part of the INC (O). Pushpa Devi Singh
Pushpa Devi Singh (born 18 May 1948) is an Indian politician who served on the 7th Lok Sabha for the Indian National Congress party. Pushpa Devi Singh was born into a Gond Adivasi Royal family of Sarangarh Raipur, Chhattisgarh. She is daughter of Raja Naresh Chandra Singh of Sarangarh, who had been Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. She was educated at St. Joseph's Convent, Sagar and Maharani Laxmibai College, Bhopal and Vikram University, Ujjain. In 1980, Pushpa Singh polled 53.76 percent of the valid vote to win election to the Lok Sabha at age 31, making her one of that parliament's youngest members. Her nearest rival, Narhari Prasad Sai of Janata party, a minister in the Morarji cabinet, polled 21.97 percent of the vote.
