Naor Sabag
Naor Sabag ( he, נאור סבג; born 23 May 1993) is an Israeli footballer who plays as a midfielder for Hapoel Haifa from the Israeli Premier League. Career On May 29, 2019, Sabag signed Hapoel Be'er Sheva for three years. On July 11, Sabag made his debut in the 1–1 draw against Laçi as part of the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League. a week later in the interplay, he made his score the goal and helped his team qualify to the Second qualifying round. On November 3, Sabag scored his first goal in the Israeli Premier League in a 2–0 win over Maccabi Netanya at Turner Stadium. On July 13, 2020, Sabag won the Israel State Cup after a 2–0 victory against Maccabi Petah Tikva. In 2020, he was transferred from Hapoel Be'er Sheva to Maccabi Petah Tikva. The 2016–17 Liga Alef season was the 8th season as third tier since its re-alignment in 2009 and the 75th season of third-tier football in Israel. The clubs which were ranked 1st in each division promoted to Liga Leumit. Liga Alef ( he, ליגה א', , League A) is the third tier of the Israeli football league system. It is divided into two regional divisions, north and south. History League football began in Israel in 1949–50, a year after the Israeli Declaration of Independence. However, the financial and security crises gripping the young nation caused the 1950–51 season to be abandoned before it had started. When football resumed in 1951–52, the new top division went by the name of Liga Alef. The 1952–53 season was also not played, and Liga Alef resumed in 1953–54. In the 1955–56 season, Liga Leumit came into existence as the new top division, with Liga Alef becoming the second division. The 2014–15 Liga Alef season saw Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem (champions of the North Division) and Hapoel Ashkelon (champions of the South Division) win the title and promotion to Liga Leumit. The clubs which were ranked between 2nd to 5th places in each division competed in a promotion play-offs, in which the winners, Ironi Nesher, advanced to the final round, where they lost 1-5 on aggregate to the 14th placed club in Liga Leumit, Hapoel Nazareth Illit.
