Nanna Christiansen
Nanna Christiansen (born 17 June 1989) is a Danish football midfielder currently playing in the Elitedivisionen for Brøndby, with whom she has also played the Champions League. She was named Danish Young Footballer of the Year in 2006. Christiansen has been a member of the senior Danish national team since 2009; making her debut in a 2–0 defeat to the United States at the Algarve Cup and being named in the squad for UEFA Women's Euro 2009. As a junior international she had played at the 2006 and 2007 U-19 European Championships. Christiansen made her international debut for Denmark in the 2009 Algarve Cup against United States on 4 March 2009. UEFA Women's Euro 2009
The 2009 UEFA Women's Championship, or just Women's Euro 2009, was played in Finland between 23 August and 10 September 2009. The host was appointed on 11 July 2006, in a UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Berlin and the Finnish proposal won over the Dutch proposal. The UEFA Women's Championship is a regular tournament involving European national teams from countries affiliated to UEFA, the European governing body, who have qualified for the competition. The competition aims to determine which national women's team is the best in Europe. The 2009 tournament was won by Germany for a seventh time in ten events. They beat England, appearing in their first final since 1984, 6–2 in the final. The Germans also boasted the tournament's leading goalscorer in Inka Grings. The 2013 UEFA Women's Championship, commonly referred to as Women's Euro 2013, was the 11th European Championship for women's national football teams organised by UEFA. The final tournament, held in Sweden from 10 to 28 July 2013, became the most-watched in the history of the Women's Euros. Kenneth Heiner-Møller
Kenneth Heiner-Møller (born Kenneth Heiner Christiansen; 17 January 1971) is a Danish football manager and former player. He is the former manager of the Canadian women's national team. In 1994–1995 he played for Ferencvárosi TC in Hungary, where fans know him as Kenneth Christiansen. Background Aged 30, Heiner-Møller broke his leg and had to finish his career as a footballer. He coached the Danish women's national team from 2006 until 2013, when he stood down to take over as chief executive of Team Danmark. 2009 Algarve Cup
The 2009 Algarve Cup was the sixteenth edition of the Algarve Cup, an invitational women's football tournament held annually in Portugal. It took place between 4 and 11 March 2009. It was won by Sweden who defeated holders the United States in a penalty shootout after a 1–1 draw in the final-game. Format The twelve invited teams were split into three groups that played a round-robin tournament. The entrants were almost identical to the previous year, but Iceland moved up into Group B from their previous ranking in 2008, replacing Italy who did not feature this time. Wales returned to the competition for the first time in five years, while Austria appeared in the competition for the first time.
