The railroad starts at Nakamozu Station on the Nankai Kōya Line and ends at Izumi-Chūō Station. During the 1960s, the Osaka Prefectural government planned a route link to Semboku New Town, one of many planned communities at the time of the post-war boom. The Nankai Electric Railway was to undertake the total planning, construction and operation of the new route, but because Nankai had several large accidents in the later half of that decade, Japan's national railroad safety board forced Nankai to purchase new rolling stock and start restoration track an ... Semboku 3000 Series
The is an electric multiple unit (EMU) train type that was introduced by Semboku Rapid Railway in 1975. Since 2013, Nankai Electric Railway began operating former Semboku 3000 series sets, and these sets retain the 3000 series designation. Design The 3000 series trains have stainless steel bodies. It was also the first train type operated by Semboku Rapid Railway to feature air-conditioning. The first three sets built in 1975 initially did not have air-conditioning units on the roofs but they were subsequently retrofitted with air-conditioning a year later. History The first three six-car sets entered service on 3 April 1975 to augment the fleet of 100 series trains on the Semboku Rapid Railway Line (now Nankai Semboku Line). By 1990, a total of 60 vehicles were built. From 1999 to 2000, three six-car sets (3511, 3513 and 3517) were shortened to four cars each. As a result, three new two-car sets (3551–3555) were formed from the extracted vehicles. Withdrawals of the 3 ... LEDs
A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that emits light when current flows through it. Electrons in the semiconductor recombine with electron holes, releasing energy in the form of photons. The color of the light (corresponding to the energy of the photons) is determined by the energy required for electrons to cross the band gap of the semiconductor. White light is obtained by using multiple semiconductors or a layer of light-emitting phosphor on the semiconductor device. Appearing as practical electronic components in 1962, the earliest LEDs emitted low-intensity infrared (IR) light. Infrared LEDs are used in remote-control circuits, such as those used with a wide variety of consumer electronics. The first visible-light LEDs were of low intensity and limited to red. Early LEDs were often used as indicator lamps, replacing small incandescent bulbs, and in seven-segment displays. Later developments produced LEDs available in visible, ultraviolet (UV), and ... LED Lighting
An LED lamp or LED light is an electric light that produces light using light-emitting diodes (LEDs). LED lamps are significantly more energy-efficient than equivalent incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps. The most efficient commercially available LED lamps have efficiencies exceeding 200 lumens per watt (lm/W) and convert more than half the input power into light. Commercial LED lamps have a lifespan several times longer than both incandescent and fluorescent lamps. LED lamps require an electronic LED circuit to operate from mains power lines, and losses from this circuit means that the efficiency of the lamp is lower than the efficiency of the LED chips it uses. The driver circuit may require special features to be compatible with lamp dimmers intended for use on incandescent lamps. Generally the current waveform contains some amount of distortion, depending on the luminaires' technology. The LED lamp market is projected to grow from US$75.8 billion in 2020 t ...
