Ferdinando Gentile, commonly known as Nando Gentile (born 1 January 1967), is an Italian former professional basketball player and coach. Playing as a point guard, Gentile had a successful pro club playing career, amassing a slew of team trophies won in Italy and Greece, including the EuroLeague title. He also played with the senior Italian national team, with whom he won a silver medal at the EuroBasket 1991. Fernando Trío Zabala (8 July 1939 – 20 February 2016), known as Nando Yosu, was a Spanish football player and manager. His extensive career, as both a player and coach, was mainly associated with Racing de Santander. Miguel Armando "Nando" Rodriguez-Vera (May 3, 1932 – September 21, 1952) was a United States Army soldier who was killed in the Korean War and a posthumous recipient of the Medal of Honor for his actions during the Battle of Old Baldy. Biographical details Rodriguez-Vera was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico to Carmen Vera Cardona, and joined the U.S. Army when he was 17 years old. After Rodriguez-Vera was killed in action in the Korean War, his body was transferred to Puerto Rico where he was buried with full military honors in the Utuado Municipal Cemetery, Utuado, Puerto Rico. Fernando "Nando" Orsi (born 12 September 1959 in Rome) is an Italian football manager and former player, who played as a goalkeeper. Playing career After starting out at Roma, Orsi, a former goalkeeper, made his professional debut in 1979 for Serie C2 club Siena.
