Nandini Shankar is an Indian violinist who performs Hindustani classical music and fusion. She is the daughter of Sangeeta Shankar and granddaughter of N. Rajam. Early life Shankar started her training when she was 3 years old and gave her first public performance at 8. She gave her first full-fledged solo performance at the age of 13 years. She plays violin in the ''Gayaki Ang''. Personal life Nandini Shanker is grand daughter of Indian violinist Padma Bhushan N. Rajam and her mother Dr Sangeeta Shanker is also highly acclaimed violinist. Nandini married the renowned Carnatic music fusion artist, Mahesh Raghvan on 9 May 2021. Kaushiki Chakraborty Desikan (born 24 October 1980) is an Indian classical vocalist of the Patiala gharana. Her repertoire covers pure classical, ''Khyals, Dadras, Thumris, Bhajans'' and several other forms of Indian music. Saptak Festival Of Music
The Saptak Annual Festival of Music is an annual thirteen-day Indian classical music festival held in Ahmedabad, India. It is organised by Saptak School of Music and takes place January first to the thirteenth every year, and is attended by hundreds of people. History The festival started in 1980 by Nandan Mehta and his wife Manju Mehta, Rupande Shah, Bharti Parikh and D.D. Trivedi, with the inauguration by Pandit Ravi Shankar and Pandit Kishan Maharaj. The one-day event in 1980 expanded to the performance of more than 130 musicians in 15 sessions spread across 13 days by 2010. The festival features both emerging talents and established performers.
